Physician, Lead Medical Officer

Duties:
We are seeking an immediate fill for a full-time Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Lead Medical Officer to serve at the VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) located in Bristol, Virginia.
The Physician reports directly to the Chief of Primary Care and Community Medicine.
Incumbent is charged with providing outpatient-only primary care for eligible Veterans in the area.
The required skill set includes current Primary Care clinical proficiency, willingness and ability to encourage teamwork, implement new initiatives and maintain high standards of performance.
A broad working knowledge of and experience with VA policies and procedures is desirable, but not mandatory.
VA Primary Care Providers are responsible for coordinating all aspects of the patients' care, making referrals to specialists, ordering procedures, ordering and monitoring all medications plus handling all their patients' acute needs.

Applicant's education and length of practice (experience) will be considered by a Physician Compensation Panel in determining the grade and salary of the applicant selected.
Recruitment Incentive:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
